Miranda Nance, Ph.D., LCSW

Dr. Miranda Nance is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and retired naval officer with nearly 30 years of experience in the field of mental health. She has dedicated her career to helping civilians, service members, veterans, couples, and families build healthier lives. With extensive experience supporting military personnel and their families, she also understands the unique challenges civilians face when navigating life transitions, loss, and emotional struggles.

Dr. Nance is passionate about empowering clients to overcome life’s challenges. She works with adults and adolescents seeking support for anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma recovery, relationship and communication difficulties, and substance use recovery. She also has specialized training in race-based trauma and gender-affirming care, providing an inclusive and affirming space for every client.

Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Supportive Psychotherapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Whether in individual therapy, couples counseling, or family therapy, Dr. Nance helps clients gain the tools and strategies needed to move forward with confidence and clarity.
